About this mantra

Vajrasattva practice is strongly associated with purification in Tibetan Buddhism. The hundred-syllable mantra appears in many practice contexts, especially preliminary practices and confession-purification liturgies.

Because formal Vajrayana practice can include visualization, commitments and lineage instructions, a recording is best treated as a listening resource rather than a replacement for instruction from a qualified teacher.

How to approach listening

You can listen attentively, use the recording alongside quiet meditation, or simply become familiar with the sound of the mantra. If you are undertaking a formal Vajrayana practice, follow the instructions of the teacher and lineage from which you received it.

Avoid exaggerated claims. Tibetan Buddhist traditions contain rich explanations of mantra, but this site does not present mantra listening as a guaranteed cure, protection mechanism, or substitute for medical or professional care.
